Short version: your audio stays on your device. SplitMP3 does not upload your MP3, your file name, your timestamps or your part names.

Your audio files

When you choose an MP3, your browser reads it locally and creates the split parts locally. The file is not sent to our servers or to any third party. The page does not save your file in your browser's storage either; if you reload or close the tab, it is gone. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, look at the Network tab while you split a file, and you will see no request carrying your audio.

What the website itself receives

Like any website, the server that delivers SplitMP3 receives your IP address and standard request details, such as the page you asked for and your browser type, when you load a page. Hosting providers commonly keep such logs for a limited time for security and reliability. This is separate from your audio, which never reaches the server.

Cookies, analytics and ads

As of the date above, SplitMP3 sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own site, not from a third party. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future, we will describe exactly what is collected on this page before doing so, and we will never include your audio, file names or timestamps in any analytics event.
